A collection of Shona folk instrumentals performed on the mbira dzavadzimu by master mbira player William Rusere and accompanied by Regina Ndoro and Ben Rusere.

The recordings were made in 1996 in the crow village of Rusere, named after William's father, and mixed at Shed recordings in Harare.

Shona Folk Melodies was originally released in 2001 on limited edition CD with remixes by Plaid, Burnt Friedman and Gaby Kerpel.
